With over 30 years’ experience in building profitable, successful practices, Michael will lead and demonstrate how you can increase your earnings without seeing more clients, make your consultations more efficient and feel more confident.
Michael Ash has had a long and successful career, including building and selling one of the largest integrative medicine clinics in the southwest of England. For over 20 years he has specialised in the mucosal immune system, in particular, that related to the gastrointestinal tract. He is a well-published scientific author and lead educator of Clinical Education.
ANTONY HAYNES BA HONS RNT
Antony will teach you how to have more fun with your work and discover how shared experiences of beneficial change and meaningful interactions impact on your clinical life with great effect.
Antony Haynes has been in private practice for 27 years and is one of the most experienced Registered Nutritional Therapists in the country. He is one of the first practitioners to implement the principles of Functional Medicine in the UK, since 1992 and has authored 2 books. Antony has consulted with over 17,000 clients.
DR SHILPA SAXENA, MD
Group Visit Pioneer and Functional Medicine Faculty Member Dr Shilpa Saxena will teach you how to scale up your practice when you are at capacity and how group visits are a critically important component of the community care. She will explore common challenges and how to overcome them, alongside on-boarding patients and more.
Shilpa P. Saxena, MD, IFMCP is a Board-Certified family physician whose passion and purpose come to life through an uncompromising dedication to the ‘health’ and ‘care’ aspects of healthcare.
In July 2019, her practice joined Forum Health, a nationwide provider of personalized health services. Beyond continuing to practice as Medical. Director of Forum Health Tampa, Dr. Saxena serves as Chief Medical Officer at Forum Health.
Her commitment for professional growth is evident. In addition to over 15 years of progressive patient care in her successful medical practices, Dr. Saxena is Senior Faculty with the Institute for Functional Medicine, as well as contributing faculty or physician educator roles with the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, Faculty, George Washington University’s Metabolic Medicine Institute, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and Universidad San ignacio de Loyola (Lima, Perú).
DR MICHAEL STONE MD MS
IFM Faculty Speaker Dr Stone will cover the top in-clinic tests you can conduct, either in-person or virtually, to enhance your practice and to improve patient outcomes.
Michael Stone, MD, MS, is a board-certified family physician who practices in Ashland, Oregon, with Leslie Stone, MD, and David Jones, MD. Their Functional Medicine practice is thriving. He has experience in rural and frontier family medicine, emergency medicine, and as a hospitalist. His undergraduate and graduate degrees are in human nutrition. He graduated from University of Washington and did his Residency training in family practice at UCLA-Ventura, where he was chief resident and also completed a teaching fellowship in family medicine. He has been on adjunct faculty at UCLA and University of Washington for primary care students in the doctoring and rural underserved opportunities program (RUOP). His career has offered him medical experiences and practice in Thailand, Alaska, the Eastern Sierras, Idaho, and Oregon. His interests and lectures have covered a wide range of topics–bezoars, neonatal hypocalcaemia, health issues with depleted uranium, exposure to vitamin D and chronic disease–and many subjects in between. Dr Stone was the recipient of the Linus Pauling Award from IFM in 2019.
DR ROBERT ROUNTREE MD
Dr Robert Rountree will join Michael Ash DO ND RNT in a fireside chat, where he discusses his journey into lifestyle medicine, then onto Functional Medicine, and how he innovated his practice. He shares clinical pearls on how to practice with confidence and integrity, whilst sharing amusing ancedotes of his journey as one of the most respected IFM speakers.
Robert Rountree, MD, received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill in 1980. He subsequently completed a three-year residency in family and community medicine at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, after which he was certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Holistic Medicine. He has augmented his training with extensive postgraduate studies in nutritional and herbal pharmacology along with certification as a master practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming. Dr. Rountree has provided his unique combination of traditional family medicine, nutrition, herbology, and mind-body therapy in Boulder, CO, since 1983. He has recently opened Boulder Wellcare, a private practice specializing in individual healthcare consulting. He is coauthor of three books on integrative medicine, Immunotics: A Revolutionary Way to Fight Infection, Beat Chronic Illness, and Stay Well (Putnam, 2000); Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child (Avery Publishing, 1994); and A Parent’s Guide to Medical Emergencies (Avery, 1997). Dr Rountree was the recipient of the Linus Pauling Award from IFM in 2015
