Whole Child Medicine

Date: Thursday 5th September

Time: 7pm – 8pm (UK Time)

CPD: applied from BANT & CPDUK

Cost: just £12

Whether you are a parent or provider or both: This look into Connection based functional medicine for children will offer tools and solutions to help each child feel better in their brain and body, so they can more deeply connect with themselves, their loved ones, and the world around them.

Feeling overwhelmed by fragmented solutions in pediatric healthcare, not seeing the results you were seeing in the past, or concerned about working with the pediatric community at all?

We’ll explore the intricate dance between a child’s:

  • Sensory Systems: Beyond the 5 senses we will look at Interoception, neuroception, proprioception and the vestibular system and how these are contributing in real time to anxiety, dysregulated ANS and CNS as well as outward expressions called behaviors where they are being diagnosed.
  • Gut health and nervous system: See how a leaky gut disrupts the gut-brain connection, impacting a child’s sense of safety and social engagement.
  • Food, nutrition, and supplements: Learn how to support a child’s nervous system through specific foods and targeted supplements, that help support a sense of calm and connection.
  • Movement as a bridge to safety: Discover movement therapies that help children build a strong foundation for social connection by promoting vagal tone and feelings of safety.
  • The Family Nervous System® : Because a child’s nervous system is intricately woven with the family unit, we will discuss how to work with the whole family.
  • The power of co-regulation: Understand how the entire family nervous system influences a child’s health and learn techniques to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes connection and healing for everyone.

This workshop is perfect for:

  • Functional medicine practitioners who want to understand how childrens behaviors are reactions to input and will differ from an adult.
  • Medical professionals who want to offer a holistic, connection-centered approach to their young patients.
  • Providers who recognize diet and supplements are often not enough to help children reach their potential.

Don’t miss this opportunity to unlock the power of connection and empower children to heal.  Register today and embark on a transformative journey in pediatric functional medicine!

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply a comprehensive framework to childhood challenges: Analyze how fragmented solutions often miss the mark and explore a comprehensive approach that integrates sensory processing, gut health, nervous system regulation, and family dynamics.
  • Translate sensory integration into actionable strategies: Identify how dysregulation of the under-recognized senses (interoception, neuroception, proprioception, and vestibular) manifests in children, and develop strategies to address them, fostering improved emotional regulation and behavioral responses.
  • Leverage the gut-brain connection for optimal outcomes: Explain the impact of leaky gut on a child’s nervous system function, social engagement, and overall sense of safety.
  • Craft personalized dietary and targeted supplement recommendations to support gut health and
nervous system regulation. Integrate movement therapies for connection and well-being:
  • Employ movement therapies that promote vagal tone and feelings of safety, laying the groundwork for deeper social
connection and improved nervous system regulation in children.

This fantastic webinar is priced at just £12.

About BG Mancini

BG Mancini is an Acupuncture Physician/Primary Care Provider, a leader in Neurodevelopmental education, and a Functional Medicine Practitioner. She has over 27 years of experience working with children and families, helping them increase their connection to themselves, each other, and the world around them by restoring safety to their nervous system, reducing inflammation, and using mobility to scaffold the brain with new neural pathways and/or proper pruning.

She helps to optimize outcomes for children facing challenges and helps them reach their full potential through proper therapy sequencing. She has been utilizing dietary changes as a primary tool for the past 27 years for families, children with multiple diagnoses, as well as those with neurological and physical health challenges.

Her tools include hemispheric balance exercises, retained reflex integration, developmental vision, functional medicine testing, Polyvagal Theory, the Safe & Sound Protocol, nutrient deficiency analysis, and her own, Family Nervous System® for families.

The Family Nervous System® demonstrates that parents, while striving to ensure their children receive the help they need, often become less resourced themselves and less available for connection, which is at the core of healing. She works from the model that coregulation is the key to connection and that in order to achieve this, we must first be able to regulate ourselves as the adult nervous system in the family.
